Charges in gas theft; info sought in S. Dundas vehicle vandalism

Gas theft

NORTH DUNDAS — A man and a woman from North Stormont have been charged in the reported theft of gasoline at a County Rd. 31 gas station.

The SD&G OPP say they arrested the pair Aug. 10 following an investigation into the July 20 incident when gas was allegedly removed from the North Dundas establishment without payment.

Police say that Jeffrey Burles, 31, and Claire Lefaille, 27, are both charged with theft under $5,000.

The accused were released and are set to appear in Morrisburg Court on Oct. 11.

 

Mischief — Vandalism

SOUTH DUNDAS — Vandals damaged a vehicle parked in a Gibson Lane driveway, according to the SD&G OPP now seeking the public’s help in the matter.

The red Ford Edge’s windshield was struck three times and several windows were smashed out  at around 10:45 p.m. on July 19. One or more vandals also spray painted all over the driver’s side and hood.
