WINCHESTER — Dundas Manor is touting its new statement of ‘Our Commitment.’
An updated version of the traditional mission, vision and values, the statement reflects “a new way to define who we are and what we aspire to be,” the Winchester-based nursing home says in a press release.
“Dundas Manor has a rich history of caring for our residents and we wanted to sum that up in a new, simpler way,” notes Administrator Norm Slatter. “It was important that the new message was meaningful and memorable.”
‘Our Commitment’ was developed by a committee that included staff from every department, physicians, and residents. Input was gathered through internal and external surveys and discussion groups with residents, families, staff and Board members.
‘Our Commitment’ includes three short statements:
We enrich the lives of our residents by nourishing mind, body, heart and soul.
We value respect and dignity, and inspire happiness and joy.
We are one family.
It sums up with: We will be the trusted home-of-choice by exceeding expectations and pursing excellence in all we do.
“For many years, our informal motto has been ‘Ladies and Gentlemen Serving Ladies and Gentlemen’ and we felt it was important to include that in the statement as well,” adds Slatter. “Every day, our entire team works hard to ensure every residents received the best care possible in a caring environment.”
