That’s one way to describe the turnout and many congratulations I received at Nation Valley News Ltd.’s official launch party Saturday evening at McCloskey’s in Chesterville. It was absolutely heartening to see the many faces filling the bar, to experience well-wishers shaking my hand and — especially — to see family members and supporters wearing ‘I ♡ Nation Valley News’ t-shirts.
I couldn’t have done it without all of you, and you know who you are.
In the past couple of months, I’ve built up an online news and advertising brand. It’s been a challenging proposition this summer, but with my 20 years experience in the Stormont and Dundas County area, combined with a lot of hard work, I started something that people increasingly look to as a source of digital information in the ‘Nation Valley.’
Nationvalleynews.com has achieved 68,800 unique page views in August — in only its second full month of operation as a one-man show. That’s more than 68,000 individual devices accessing the site. The Nation Valley News Facebook page reaches thousands of people on a weekly basis, exceeding 203,000 at one point last week.
I was also happy to announce that talented salesperson Julie Lascelle will be joining the operation as we endeavour to push things to the next level.
The launch was only possible through the tremendous support from McCloskey’s. Manager Daniel Riitano has been behind Nation Valley News since the beginning, becoming the site’s first advertiser.
From the bottom of my ♡, thank you.
