MORRISBURG — A police cruiser was retrieved from a County Rd. 2 ditch in Morrisburg early Saturday evening, Sept. 17.
Locals spotted the black-and-white SD&G OPP cruiser in the ditch on the north side of the county road shortly before 6 p.m. The cop car appeared to have left the asphalt roadway, nestling in the ditch beside the Morrisburg water treatment plant entrance, just west of Canadian Tire.
Forty-five minutes later, others saw the wayward vehicle being loaded onto a flatbed truck.
“I have reviewed the occurrences from Saturday evening,” Constable Tylor Copeland told Nation Valley News in an email, adding, “there are no reported motor vehicle collisions involving a cruiser. Perhaps a cruiser went off the road, but there was no damage to the vehicle. I have no other reports of this incident.”
