SDG residents encouraged to take online economic development survey

SDG, THE COUNTIES  — Residents and business owners in the United Counties are encouraged to take the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) economic development survey.

The upper-tier municipal government is currently undertaking a review and update of its Economic Development Strategy (EDS). Last done in 2012, the update will cover a five-year outlook to 2021. Consulting firm MDB Insight has been contracted to deliver the update and action plan. At the same time, the firm is assisting four local municipalities with their own individual strategies and action plans — North Dundas, North Stormont, South Stormont, and North Glengarry.

The consulting team has already conducted focus groups across the region and has now launched the survey for all residents or business owners from all six municipalities in SDG. Participating will help the organizers gather relevant, up-to-date information about living and working in the region. The survey can be accessed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SDG_economic_development_survey and is slated to remain open until Friday, Oct. 7 at 11:59 p.m.
