WINCHESTER — The upcoming annual mayor’s breakfast is really a mayors’ breakfast — as Eric Duncan of North Dundas is set to host his Ottawa counterpart, Jim Watson.

The Ottawa mayor and former McGuinty government cabinet minister will deliver the keynote address at Duncan’s 2016 Mayor’s Community Breakfast in Winchester on Thursday, Dec. 1.

The popular Watson is currently in his second term as mayor of the amalgamated City of Ottawa, after being re-elected in 2014 with more than 76 percent of the vote.

Watson, who also served a term as mayor of the National Capital prior to amalgamation, leads the city as it builds a Light Rail Transit system, the largest project seen in Ottawa since the Rideau Canal.

Sponsored by O’Farrell Financial Services, breakfast at the Joel Steele Community Centre runs 7 to 7:45 a.m., and the featured program wraps up at 8:45 a.m.

Seating is limited; RSVP Anne Leduc by Nov. 25 at or call 613-774-2105, ext. 244.
