MORRISBURG — No injuries resulted when a vehicle rammed a Morrisburg shopfront in the “Pinkus Mall” this morning, but the building did sustain some damage.

A large section of the front window at Lakeshore Massage Therapy Health & Wellness Clinic was smashed out when the crossover-type car exceeded the bounds of the parking lot, jumped the curb and struck the glass and an upright brick pillar separating the establishment’s facade from the neighbouring dental clinic. The cracked-up pillar seems to have stopped the car from going any further than it did.

SD&G OPP officers were on scene as Bill Ewing of Bill’s Towing and Recovery retrieved the vehicle onto a flatbed truck around 10 a.m.

Police have not yet issued a statement on how the driver ended up in this predicament.
