NORTH STORMONT – A Montreal man faces drug possession-related charges after police responded to a reported suspicious person in North Stormont.
The SD&G OPP picked up the suspect after being tipped off about a person at the Campbell Rd. property just before 7 a.m. on Nov. 9.
According to police, a check of the male revealed he was in contravention of several conditions stemming from previous incidents. Upon his arrest, officers turned up quantities of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine.
Police say that Christopher Mailhot-Lafontaine, 20, of Montreal, Quebec, is charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts); and Fail to Comply with Recognizance/Undertaking (12 counts).
The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
