SOUTH MOUNTAIN — Nationview Public School’s annual Walkathon Fundraiser took some students right off their feet and into a limousine.
The Oct. 19 walkathon saw students generate $8,300 for school trips, programs and presentations. Helping to motivate the youngsters was a donated prize from Byers Limousine Service: a ride in style to Kemptville for lunch with a buddy. Cody Hoppe, Tanner Patterson and William Wicks, the top-three pledge collectors, boarded the white stretch limo on Nov. 17, as the entire school — staff, students and Principal Peter MacGregor — cheered and waved their official send-off. Each of the winners was accompanied by a friend.
