EMBRUN — Russell County OPP are looking for the owners of stolen construction tools recently recovered when police executed a search warrant.

Stolen from the Ottawa area, the tools are labelled with “Jane S” and “Dave B,” according to police.

They advise that if you are one of those indicated victims, or know them, to please contact investigating officer Tammy Barnes of the Russell County OPP Embran Detachment at 613-443-4499.

Police point out that recording tool serial numbers and adding one’s name and number on tools can help identify them once in the hands of law enforcement.

They also advise vigilance and extra precautions when leaving a trailer and tools at a job site, such as ensuring the trailer is locked and secured in a well-lit area.
