Canadian Tire donates to charitable causes

MORRISBURG — Canadian Tire in Morrisburg donated $5,500 to several area charities earlier this week.

Canadian Tire Corporation matched $2,750 locally raised through the staff fund, staff events, the Jumpstart BBQ along with donations from customers and store dealer Doug Poulin — bringing the total to $5,500.

In the Dec. 12 photo above (from left) are: Dr. Wayne Domanko (Morrisburg Lions Angel Tree), Brooke Spencer (Canadian Tire office assistant), David Lapier (Jumpstart), Verna Leger (Naomi House), Karen Herman (Canadian Tire office manager), Carol Richer (South Dundas Christmas Exchange), Ian McKelvie (Community Food Share) and Doug Poulin (Canadian Tire owner).

Until Dec. 21, Morrisburg Canadian Tire is also holding a silent auction for an autographed Hayley Wickenheiser jersey.
