Freezing rain warning in effect for tomorrow

EASTERN ONTARIO — Freezing rain is expected to develop Tuesday morning in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry as well as Prescott and Russell counties, says Environment Canada in a warning issued today.

Expect some snow or ice pellets overnight as a Colorado low begins to head towards the Great Lakes, according to the agency, changing to freezing rain early Tuesday morning, Jan. 3. The freezing rain will linger for much of the day before changing to rain tomorrow evening.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
