WINCHESTER — Spring fashion, footwear and bling, plus fabulous food and a flick featuring Ryan Gosling.
Local female entrepreneurs’ first-ever Ladies Night Out certainly delivered on their promise of ‘Fashion, Food, Film and FUN!’ on the weekend.
Over two evenings at Winchester’s Old Town Hall, the first-ever event drew about 150 people who caught a fashion show collaboration by Lisa Williams (of Main Street Clothing Company) and Stella and dot-brand stylist and jewellery purveyor Amy Tibben. The local models also wore footwear provided by Barkley’s Shoes and Accessories to complete the Dundas County fashion trifecta.
Attendees also browsed additional tables of scrumptious delicacies provided by Jo-Anne Houle’s Cup of Jo’s café as well as reflexology and relaxation items offered by Natalie Brundige’s Heritage House Health Spa (otherwise located upstairs at Cup of Jo’s in Winchester).
Participants made full use of the adjoining theatre facility to take in Crazy, Stupid, Love. screened by the Old Town Hall’s regular movie night maestro, Aaron Dellah.
Funds raised at the event will assist the Dundas Youth Group program overseen by Kaitlyn Herfkens.
As it turns out, the success of the Jan. 27-28 evenings should serve as a springboard to this Thursday’s launch of a new fashion line at Main Street Clothing Company (Feb. 2).
