OPP handle North Dundas, North Stormont domestic situations, prohibited communications

NORTH STORMONT A man caused damage within a Labrosse Street home during an altercation with his ex-common-law spouse, according to the SD&G OPP, whose officers responded to the North Stormont address just after 9 a.m. on Feb. 22.

Police say the 24-year-old South Stormont man became resistant with officers upon arrest.

Charged with Mischief and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest, the accused was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on March 7.

His name has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Prohibited communications

NORTH DUNDAS — Repeated electronic communications with his ex-girlfriend has landed a 24-year-old North Dundas man in trouble.

SD&G OPP officers became aware of those alleged communications — in contravention of previously imposed conditions — while responding Feb. 25  to a reported domestic situation at a County Rd. 3 address.

He has been charged with Criminal Harassment and five counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking.

The accused was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
