WINCHESTER — Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) Foundation Board Chair Tom Dawson attended the Greely & District Legion’s Feb. 20 meeting to accept a $4,000 donation. The money will go toward WDMH’s highest priority needs.
Funds were raised through the Legion’s annual poppy campaign.
In accepting the donation, Dawson noted: “We are so fortunate to have so many involved community members who work so hard to make this region a great place to live. The Greely & District Legion goes above and beyond with the wonderful work you do for veterans and local communities. I truly commend and thank you for your incredible volunteer service.”
“Thank you to these very loyal donors who have supported WDMH over many years,” added Kristen Casselman, Managing Director. “In fact, the Greely & District Legion has donated more than $36,000 to WDMH since 2002. It is simply wonderful to have so many people working hard to support patient care at WDMH. “
