Thank you to everyone who came to the cake auction on Fri., Feb. 24, during Secondary lunch. It was a huge success as Grade 12 students raised over $1,000 in total to put towards their Prom tickets. This event could not have happened without the parents, staff and students who bid and bought item, and without the Grade 12 students who brought in their cakes and pies. A big thank you to our auctioneer Brandon Scheepers for doing a great job!

Intermediate students enjoyed a fun evening on Fri., Feb 24, at the Winter Formal Dance. The proceeds for this event will go towards lowering the cost of this year’s Prom tickets.

On Fri., Feb 24, the Girls’ Hockey Team won 5-2 against Tagwi and then lost 1-3 against Holy Trinity at a tournament.

The Denim and Diamonds Dance is set to take place on Thurs., Mar. 2 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Students attending this event can choose to either wear casual attire like jeans, or semi-formal attire.

It took the Manufacturing Class about 200 hours to create and install the 150-year logo that is displayed outside of the school by Highway 43. Students cut, welded, designed, painted, and installed this logo to show their Canadian pride for 150 years.

Both the Mixed Curling Team and Girls’ Curling Team will be competing in Kingston for the Eastern Ontario High School Curling Championship on Wed., Mar. 1 and Thurs., Mar. 2.
