DIXONS CORNERS — Supporters of South Dundas’s last rural elementary school are holding their annual fundraiser bazaar at the Matilda Hall today (March 25).
The Timothy Christian School Bazaar includes fun and games for children, a variety of items for sale and a lunch featuring genuine or boerenkool — or ‘farmer’s kale’ — a traditional Dutch dish, also known as stamppot, combining smoked sausage, gravy and potatoes mashed up with the leafy green vegetable enjoyed in the Netherlands long before it became cool.
The Bazaar runs until 2 p.m.; lunch begins at noon, with chilli, hot dogs, lasagna and Caesar Salad also on the menu.
