SOUTH DUNDAS — A 62-year-old South Dundas woman has been charged with adding a noxious substance to another woman’s drink.
The SD&G OPP arrested the woman April 6, following an investigation launched in February. “She’s charged with administering a noxious thing with intent to annoy.
Minor effects” were caused to the other party, according to police. “It was in the drug category,” said Constable Joel Doiron, who couldn’t elaborate further on what the victim consumed.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 2. Her name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

SOUTH GLENGARRY — An irate trucker wound up in police custody after getting aggressive and cursing out Ministry of Transportation officers.
Police responded to the request for assistance at 12:53 p.m. on April 7.
Police say Darin Delaurier, 49, was arrested and is charged with: Causing a Disturbance; and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
The accused was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on May 3.
NORTH GLENGARRY — Police seized quantities of suspected cocaine, cannabis resin, methamphetamines and cash from a motorist April 5 on Highway 417. Police say they had earlier spied the vehicle at a North Glengarry property around 10:25 a.m., before stopping the driver on the highway for a traffic violation in East Hawkesbury.
The male driver, Andre Gosselin, 45, of Montreal, Que. was arrested and is charged with; two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of property obtained by crime.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance in Cornwall court.
NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded to a reported April 5 domestic situation at a Queen St. residence in Chesterville. An altercation between an adult male and girlfriend resulted in the female being assaulted and damage within the home, according to police, who were summoned to the address a little after 3 p.m.
A 39-year-old North Dundas man was arrested. He’s charged with spousal assault and mischief under $5,000.
The accused was released andscheduled to appear in Cornwall court on May 2. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
County Rd. 18 domestic
SOUTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded April 3 to an altercation between spouses at a County Rd. 18 address at just after 4 p.m.
A 52-year-old man from South Dundas was arrested the next day. He’s charged with: Assault – Spousal; and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
