NATION VALLEY — The creeks and branches of the South Nation River didn’t quite reach their predicted peak yesterday as the water has gone somewhat higher today.

As is often the case at the apex of the spring freshet, Oak Valley Rd. is now partially submerged. Located west of Winchester Springs, the road runs right through the area where the South Branch (also known as Black Creek) forks away from the main river north of Brinston.
