WILLIAMSBURG — Two-year-old Adalyn (Addy) Myers from Williamsburg is enduring the fight of her life at such a young age.
She and her family recently found out, after various tests, that she has a rare form of kidney cancer called a Wilms Tumor. This type of cancer is commonly found in young children.
Addy has already undergone surgery, where doctors removed an 11 cm tumor and a kidney. Now in stage 3, the testing continues, and because of the continuous medical costs, local fundraisers are happening for the Myers family.
The Winchester Lions Club recently held a pancake breakfast for the cause, and Joan Davis has created a gofundme page on behalf of Addy’s mother, Leah Ann Myers. The page features a note written from Adalyn’s perspective.
