Entertainment announced for this year’s Red & White Gala for WDMH

Dancing – and much more!

WINCHESTER — We’re celebrating Canada’s 150th Canadian style – and that includes the music as well!

The Red & White Gala – Celebrating Canada 150 and WDMH is going to be a lot of fun – with two different bands as part of the entertainment line-up.

Early in the evening, WDMH CEO Cholly Boland will perform with his family. Known as ‘The Bolands’, Cholly and his two children Charis and Callum have been performing together since 2005. They play music of all styles and have performed in variety shows, seniors’ homes, fundraisers, hospitals, churches and telethons. Charis is 14 years old and the lead singer. Callum is 19 and plays the piano. Cholly plays guitar.

“We’re excited to be part of The Red & White Gala,’ says Cholly. “Everyone should get ready because this is going to be an interactive performance and we want everyone to join in!”

Later in the evening, it’s dancing time with ‘The Fundamentals’. “We’re thrilled to part of The Red & White Gala. The donors are giving to a worthy cause and we want to do our part in making sure they have an amazing evening,” notes Denis Ducharme, who sings and plays keyboards with ‘The Fundamentals’. “As it’s Canada’s 150th anniversary, we’ve decided to offer a completely Canadian set. It was hard to choose the songs! We have some amazing songwriters and performers in our great country. We are looking forward to a magical night and celebrating life with you all.”

The gala is set for Saturday, June 3rd at the Winchester Community Centre. It will be an evening of fun, great music and dancing and delicious Canadian food. The evening will also include live and silent auctions, a 50/50 contest, a photo booth, ‘panning for gold’, 150 trivia and much more. Proceeds from the event go to the WDMH Foundation’s Family Care Fund, supporting care for families just like yours.

Tickets are now on sale for $125 each. Contact the Foundation Office at 613-774-2422, ext. 6162 to purchase your tickets.
