‘Shine a Light’ in May for Community Living Dundas County

MORRISBURG — Swap in some blue and green lightbulbs and flip the switch in support of Community Living Dundas County this month.

The local organization invites local households and businesses to do exactly that during its May “Shine a Light” on Dundas County campaign. The awareness-raising measures are intended to illuminate the cause of full participation, inclusion and citizenship of those with intellectual disabilities, and their families.

Community Living Dundas County has already lit up its 55 Allison Ave. sign in Morrisburg as an example, and some partnering businesses in both North and South Dundas have committed to follow that lead. “So keep a ‘lookout’ for those ‘Shining a Light,’” the organization advises.

Community Living Dundas County operates homes in Winchester, Williamsburg and Morrisburg — as well as a number of support programs — for intellectually disabled people.
