TORONTO — Robert Briere of Crysler picked up his $100,000 lottery win this week.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation acknowledged Briere’s windfall in a recent press release.

Confirming information already published in a Nation Valley News article, the lucky ticket was purchased at The Old General Store in Crysler. The $100,000 prize claimed by the local winner was the top one available in the “Instant Sizzling 5S” game played by Briere.

He collected the six-figure cheque at Rideau Carleton Raceway, an OLG official confirmed.

Instant Sizzling 5S is available for $5 a play. Odds of winning a prize in that game are 1 in 3.92, according to the OLG.
