Pair of buses ticketed for speeding in OPP enforcement blitz

SOUTH STORMONT — Two school buses were among 19 speeding vehicles snared by the OPP on their May 16 traffic blitz on Highway 401. Six commercial vehicles were also caught exceeding the limit.

Drugs Seized
SOUTH STORMONT OPP intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401 at 10:21 a.m., seizing of quantities of suspected ecstasy and marijuana in the May 16 pull-over.
The adult male driver and a male passenger were arrested.

Soulaimane Oukhovia, 19,  and Joey Issa, 19,  both from Laval, Que., are individually charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
They were released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on July 4.

Stolen Utility Trailer
SOUTH STORMONT Between 3-9:00 a.m., a black 2011 8×7′ open utility trailer was stolen on May 16, from a residence on Rombough Road, in South Stormont. It has a 1×2″ rail around the perimeter and an electric winch.
An investigation continues.
