DCP member and playwright Mat Kelly directs
WINCHESTER — Murder mysteries come in many flavours but this one is definitely a comedy. From the larger than life title character, Nanny Featherbottom, amateur sleuth and avid birdwatcher, to the murder victim that everyone loves, except those who know him, add a hasty detective, a covert literary agent, a love triangle, a creative crime reporter, an overprotective father, and a mad inventor and pretty soon everyone is suspect.
The play features Moira Law, as Nanny; Regina Spears as her agent, Francesca; Jim Perkins and Harmony Koiter as the two detectives, Dan and Gretchen; Sophie Rose as the widow, Darla and Scott Martin as her father, Colonel Wilberforth; Tim Sisson as Morris, friend and business partner of the victim; Nancy Dixon as Lenore, the mad inventor; Madison Hart as Roxanne, the imaginative reporter, and Cami Potvin as Summer, the ambitious secretary. The plot twist and turns through several complications and leaves us a trail of clues leading to the murderer’s identity.
Raymond Dell is discovered shot dead in his living room. He had no known enemies but as the investigations proceed, both the official one and the one led by Nanny and Francesca, it turns out Raymond had managed to alienate most of the people he knew. Which one snapped?
