WILLIAMSBURG — Timothy Christian School (TCS) celebrated the success of their youngest and eldest graduates last week.

The eight kindergarten pupils looked very sharp in their fancy clothes and mortarboards on June 21.

With smiling faces and the support of their proud families, they accepted their certificates and will move on to Grade 1 in the fall.

They had a full year of interactive learning, which included apples and later creating their own applesauce recipe, counting past 100 and snowy owls.

Their newfound owl knowledge led them to paint pictures of the bird and turn them into cards. Afterwards they ‘symbolically’ adopted a snowy owl through the World Wildlife Fund.

On the opposite side of the age spectrum at the sole remaining rural elementary school in South Dundas, Tyrel Luchies graduated alone from Grade 8, on June 23.

The choice of Valedictorian at TCS was thus an academic one this year.

Luchies delivered a heartwarming speech in recognizance of his many dedicated educators through his years at TCS.
