Garden Villa plants tree in honour of late visionary, Peter van Kessel Sr.

CHESTERVILLE — The Garden Villa Retirement Residence remembered Peter VanKessel Sr. last week with a tree planting and remembrance plaque in his honour.

VanKessel Sr., original owner of the land upon which the Garden Villa sits, had the dream and vision for the retirement residence that ultimately opened its doors in 2011 with 74 rooms (since expanded).

He passed away last December at the age of 77.
