KEMPTVILLE — Dermid and Donna Lee O’Farrell and their dedicated employees know how to throw a party.

On Saturday the company celebrated 20 years in business. The company has expanded over the years since their 1997 debut and are now operating out of four locations including Brockville, Kemptville, Winchester and their newest site in Cornwall.

Hundreds of customers, community members, and advertisers were invited to the O’Farrell estate for fun-filled, family-oriented afternoon.

Attendees were greeted upon arrival and were asked to sign a guest book. Then they were encouraged to take an O’Farrell reusable water bottle and open it for the chance of winning Senators tickets.

Once inside invitees were told to enjoy the endless amounts of food and drink, including a bar tended by Dermid O’Farrell’s confreres on the Mountain Lion’s Club.

There were plenty of activities for the whole family to take part in. Horseback riding, an in ground pool, a bouncy castle, face painting, Lil’ Jon the Clown, and loads of entertainment kept the place abuzz with fun. The entertainment included the Windy Kilts, No Boundaries, Hillbilly Highway, and the world-renowned MacCulloch Dancers.

Organizers had an amazing turnout. According to the main event coordinator and Marketing Coordinator Nicole Millest, they “served over 550 guests for dinner.”

The delicious and generously-sized barbecue chicken was prepared by Woodlands BBQ out of Spencerville. Salads were also served, along with dessert options that included cake, squares, fruit, cookies, and popsicles.

Owner and event host Dermid O’Farrell took the time to thank everyone for coming, his employees for their continuing and dedicated work over the years, and community members.

Other long-time associates named each employee out by name and thanked them in a very personal manner.

Although they are business people, they are very community minded as well and donate time and money to help several charities around the area.

Congratulations to O’Farrell Financial for a very successful 20 years of business and best of luck for the future!
