MORRISBURG — Registration for the “Tubie Triathlon” has opened for both singles and teams of three.

Teams of three will have each person attempting separate events individually. Registration costs $25 per person for individuals and teams to cover the cost of t-shirts — sign up soon before registration closes August 2. Bring forms and cash to the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce office at 91 Main St. in the Morrisburg Plaza.

Part of the annual Tubie weekend, the race will begin with a race from the right side of the dock at the beach to the left side. Following the swimming race, the 8-km cycling portion of the race begins at the bike station next to the dog park.

The 3-km running portion will start at the same bike station where the cycling portion began, and will finish by running toward the amphitheatre on the pathway between.

Due to the need to keep the triathlon in Morrisburg, the paths shown on the map below will be a loop done twice for the bike, and the run. The black arrows represent the bike route, with the running route in red. The purple show the swim on the triathlon map, above.
