WINCHESTER — The Terrace Green B&B’s Annette Angus — an Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival supporter and advisor — accepts a cheque from Phil Carkner of D’s Collision in Winchester. The autobody shop’s $400 contribution to the third annual Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival — held Aug. 27 in Cornwall’s Nav Centre — helped cover the cost of entertainment at a precursor Canada 150 bash the previous evening.

Meanwhile, Angus herself donated a winning draw prize in support of the Festival — a weekend stay at The Terrace Green B&B in Winchester plus a tour of Smokie Ridge Vineyard in Mountain, as well as dinner featuring local food and wine.

Kyoshi Norm Beauchamp of Therien Martial Arts and Fitness Centre will be inducted into the Canadian Black Belt Hall of Fame on Nov. 4. See the congratulatory video celebrating this achievement.
