SOUTH DUNDAS — A 42-year-old Toronto man’s journey through South Dundas came to an abrupt and sustained halt when SD&G OPP officers clocked him at 157 km/h on Highway 401 yesterday.

By exceeding the posted limit by more than 50 km/h, the Hogtown motorist triggered the provisions of Ontario’s stunt driving law, including the immediate seven-day seizure of his driver’s permit and the impoundment of the vehicle he was driving for the same period. Pulled over at 1:38 p.m., the man also faces additional fines and penalties if found guilty of the provincial charge.
