NORTH DUNDAS — A North Dundas woman was arrested today (Sept. 15) as police raided a Levere Rd. address.
The SD&G OPP and the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Community Street Crime Unit executed the warrant at the residence where, according to the detachment, a quantity of marijuana and cocaine was seized.
Police say that North Dundas resident Nancy Sweeney, 52, has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance; and Possession of a Controlled Substance for purpose of trafficking.
Sweeney has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on Oct. 20.
Disqualified driver charged after taking ex-girlfriend’s car following domestic dispute
NORTH DUNDAS — A North Dundas man who is disqualified from driving wound up in police custody yesterday (Sept. 14) after taking his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle without her consent.
The SD&G OPP say it happened during a domestic altercation between the former couple. Officers were summoned to the North Dundas address at just after 1:10 p.m., Sept. 14.
The 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with: Take Motor Vehicle without Consent; Drive Disqualified; and Fail to Comply with conditions of a Probation Order.
He was held in custody and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
Assault charge for man after North Dundas domestic situation
NORTH DUNDAS — A 58-year-old man from The Nation was arrested and charged with assault plus two counts of mischief after police responded to a reported domestic situation in North Dundas.
According to the SD&G OPP, a male assaulted his ex-girlfriend and damaged her property during the Sept. 13 altercation. Officers responded to the scene shortly before 9 a.m.
The accused was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Oct. 3.
