Bingo benefits Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation every Sunday

Play to assist WDMH at Rideau Carleton Entertainment Centre

WINCHESTER — The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) Foundation encourages everyone to get out their bingo dabbers and head to the Rideau Carleton Entertainment Centre.

The local hospital’s fundraising arm is one of 14 local charities that benefit from the daily games at the Centre.

“We are really happy to have the WDMH Foundation as one of our charities,” says Marie Trojan, a member of the charities association.

Guests enjoy more than a dozen games including early bird, jackpot and specialty games. A portion of the proceeds from the licensed canteen also goes to the charities.

The Foundation’s official timeslot is every Sunday at 4 pm, but proceeds throughout the week are shared among all charities.

Over the past two years, the program has donated just over $30,000 to the WDMH Foundation. “To date, we have used the money to help fund the purchase of two blanket warmers for the Emergency and Obstetrical departments. Plans are underway to fund another piece of equipment later this fall,” notes Kristen Casselman,

Managing Director. “We are grateful to the team at Rideau Carleton Entertainment Centre and to all of the bingo players for their support.”
