Ford pickup truck stolen in North Dundas

NORTH DUNDAS — A pickup truck was stolen from a Cayer Rd. residence sometime overnight, Sept. 16-17.

Police were notified early the next morning to the reported theft of the red 2013 Ford 150 FX4.

The stolen vehicle bore Ontario licence plate 5851FM.

North Dundas domestic investigation

NORTH DUNDAS — A 33-year-old North Dundas man was arrested Sept. 15 and charged with Fail to comply with conditions of a Recognition and Resist Peace Office.

SD&G OPP officers took him into custody after responding to a reported altercation between a man and his girlfriend at a North Dundas residence several minutes past 11 p.m.

Police say he was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident and resisted officers.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Breach of Conditions in South Glengarry

SOUTH GLENGARRY — SD&G OPP officers arrested a 27-year-old Cornwall man during a Sept. 16 traffic stop in the wee hours of the morning on Boundary Rd., South Glengarry.

Police say he was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident, and that he obstructed their investigation after he was pulled over shortly before 1 a.m.

Charged is Ali Hassan, 27, of Cornwall with: Fail to Comply Recognizance; Obstruct Peace Officer; Personation with Intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct Justice.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Harassment charge for woman

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A 38-year-old North Glengarry woman faces charges in connection with harassing her ex-boyfriend.

SD&G OPP officers arrested her after responding to a reported domestic situation at a South Glengarry residence, several minutes before 7 a.m. on Sept. 16.

She’s charged with: Harassing Communications; and Fail To Leave Premises when directed (Trespass To Property Act).

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Oct. 17.  

Mischief charge for man

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 39-year-old man was arrested after the SD&G OPP responded to a Sept. 17 domestic situation at South Dundas residence at just after 2:40 p.m.

Police say the South Dundas man got into an altercation with his girlfriend and damaged her property. He was also found to be in contravention of previously imposed conditions.

He’s charged with: Fail to comply with conditions of a Probation Order; and Mischief.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Breach of conditions

NORTH GLENGARRY — Police say they seized marijuana and methamphetamine from a 26-year-old North Glengarry man who was arrested during an early-morning break-in on Dominion Street South.

SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported disturbance at just after 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 18.

Police say the accused had broken into the involved address and was also found to be in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.

Eric Seguin, 26, of North Glengarry, is charged with: Fail to Comply Recognizance (two counts); Fail to Comply Probation Order (two counts); Possession of a Controlled Substance (three counts); and Break and Enter.

The accused was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

South Glengarry Break-in

SOUTH GLENGARRY — Gasoline was stolen from a South Glengarry business that was forcibly entered overnight on Sept. 14.

SD&G OPP officers responded to the County 2 address at 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 16.

An investigation continues.
