Kemptville bank robber flees with dye pack that explodes on him

KEMPTVILLE — A bank robber got away with more than money from the TD Canada Trust branch in Kemptville yesterday, Sept. 22.

The male suspect left the 325 Colonnade Drive address with cash spiked with a red dye pack — which exploded on him as he fled the scene around 1:30 p.m., according to the Grenville County OPP.

He wore a disguise to conceal his face.

No weapon was observed and there were no injuries.

The bank was inaccessible to customers while police conducted their investigation.
