SOUTH STORMONT — The SD&G OPP are seeking the public’s help as they conduct a criminal investigation into a reported suspicious person and small white cargo van spotted Sept. 25, between 3 and 4:30 p.m., on the Long Sault Parkway.
“Ried” appeared on the side of the van in orange or dark lettering, according to the detachment, which began investigating the matter on Sept. 26.

Charges in S. Dundas lumber theft
SOUTH STORMONT — A South Stormont man has been arrested and charged after lumber was stolen from a County Rd. 2 residence in South Dundas.
SD&G OPP officers responded at 8:25 p.m. to the reported theft on Sept. 26. Their investigation also led to the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.
Police say that David Liscumb, 46, of South Stormont is charged with: Theft – Under $5,000; and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
Methamphetamine seized after S. Dundas traffic stop
IROQUOIS — Police seized a quantity of methamphetamine after pulling over a vehicle for a traffic violation on Beach Ave., Iroquois.
Police say Jacques Periard, 34, of Gananoque was arrested as a result of the 2:25 a.m. stop on Sept. 28. He’s charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance; and Fail to Comply Probation Order. He was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on Nov. 14.
