CHESTERVILLE — It was the perfect sunny day for a walk in the schoolyard last Thursday afternoon. Students and faculty from Chesterville Public School (CPS) paid tribute to the late great Terry Fox by raising money and walking in his honour. The school raised a total of $627.90 for cancer research.
Grades 5 and 6 students kept track of their laps by getting their card signed after each completed turn around the field. The younger grades were cheered on and encouraged with high-fives.
A special shout out to goes to the many older students who were thoughtful and helped the younger students along.
After the walk everyone was treated to apples courtesy of Cannamore Orchard.
