Assault, mischief charges in South Dundas; pot charges in North Dundas

SOUTH DUNDAS — A South Dundas man faces charges of assault and mischief after an Oct. 5 altercation at a County Rd. 31 residence.

Police say one man struck another man and also damaged the victim’s vehicle. SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported disturbance shortly before 10:15 p.m.

Daniel Hutt, 61, was released to appear Nov. 14 in Morrisburg court Nov. 14 on the charges, according to the local detachment.

Drug charges laid

WINCHESTER — A late-summer disturbance on Wintonia Drive led police to seize a quantity of suspected marijuana and ultimately charge a North Dundas woman this week.

Vivian Miroyo, 43, was charged Oct. 5 with possession of a controlled substance, according to the SD&G OPP. Officers had responded to the Winchester address shortly before 7:10 p.m., Aug. 29.

The accused was released and scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on Dec. 5.
