Go-Kart and helmet stolen from Winchester residence, domestic investigation, and speeding

Break ins

WINCHESTER — SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in shortly after 10 a.m. at a York Street residence on October 9.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight October 8, suspect(s) entered a garage and removed a Go-Kart and helmets.

An investigation continues.

INGLESIDE — Officers of SD&G OPP were called to a report of a break-in at a residence on Farran Drive.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight, on October 7, suspect(s) entered the residence and stole jewellery and 3 firearms.

An investigation continues.

Domestic investigation

NORTH STORMONT — SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation shortly after 1 a.m. at a North Stormont residence on October 9.

Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his girlfriend. Further investigation revealed that the male had also caused damage to property.

The 37-year-old male from North Stormont was arrested and charged with mischief.

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on October 31.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Speeding

SOUTH STORMONT — SD&G OPP officers clocked a Toronto man travelling 157km/h (100km/h zone) on October 6, on Highway 401, in South Stormont. The accused was charged with stunt driving, his vehicle was impounded and his license has been seized for seven days in accordance to policy.
