GREELY — A man wanted by the SD&G OPP was arrested yesterday in Greely, where police say he was found to be in possession of a stolen truck.
Members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Community Street Crime Unit located the suspect who was also discovered to be contravening conditions imposed from a previous incident. He then resisted arrest, according to the SD&G OPP.
The local detachment had been looking for the man in connection with a “warrant originating in North Dundas,” Const. Tylor Copeland explained, adding that more information is forthcoming on the case.
Police say that Theodore Flowers, 47, of Ottawa is charged with: Possession of property obtained by crime; Fail to Comply with Recognizance; Fail to comply with Undertaking; and Resist Peace Officer.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance in Cornwall court.
NORTH DUNDAS — An Ottawa man has been charged with assault, uttering threats and mischief — arising from an Oct. 18 altercation with an adult female victim outside a Main Street address, according to the SD&G OPP.
Officers responded shortly before 9 p.m. to a reported disturbance at the scene where, police say, a man struck a woman, caused damage to her property and also threatened her.
Because the incident didn’t involve individuals involved in a domestic relationship, the local detachment has released the name of the accused, Michael Hayes, 26, of Ottawa.
He was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court on Nov. 14.
