Pot and cocaine possession-for-trafficking charges laid against two in Kemptville

KEMPTVILLE — An apartment was the scene of an OPP drug raid yesterday (Oct. 20), resulting in charges against two individuals.

The OPP Community Street Crime Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team executed the search warrant at 11:44 a.m.,  seizing suspected quantities of both cocaine and marijuana at the Asa Street address.

Police say Shelley Armstrong, 40, of Kemptville, is charged with: Possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking under 3 kilograms; and Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

A 16-year-old Kemptville male faces identical charges but can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 6.
