EMBRUN — Russell County OPP dealt with 321 calls for service, Oct. 15-21, including 11 domestic disputes, two mischief offences, seven assaults, three sexual assaults, nine thefts, three drug related and one impaired driving related occurrence.
Nine males and four females were charged with 16 various offences as a result.
Alcohol-related incident
Within the last week, Russell County OPP charged a male in relation to impaired: David Michael Fiset, aged 59 of Rockland, according to police.
Theft charge construction site
Shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, Const. Stephane Lapierre was conducting property checks on the construction sites in the Morris Village within the City of Clarence-Rockland. While patrolling, the officer located Paulo Jardim, 37, of Rockland who was arrested and charged for theft of construction material under $5,000. He’s due to attend L’Orignal court for a first appearance in November 29, 2017
Traffic violation
Const. Anne-Christine Gauthier Anne-Christine Gauthier was conducting radar enforcement on St-Guillaume Road, Oct. 19. She had occasion to arrest and charge an Ottawa male for speeding 156km/h in the posted 80km/h zone. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver licences was suspended for the same period, under Ontario’s stunt-driving legislation.
