BRINSTON — Big things have been happening in the ‘big town’ of Brinston. This past Saturday, the Matilda Recreation Committee held their second annual Pig Roast.

At 11:30 a.m. members of the Ault family and the Matilda Recreation Committee cut the ribbon and unveiled the brand new state-of-the-art, accessible, and beautiful play structure. The equipment was kindly donated by the Ault family in memory of the late Frank Ault.

The event also featured an antique car show — hosted by the Golden Gears club —, SDG Mobile Library, a scarecrow making contest, bouncy castles, and face painting.

Junkyard Symphony took the stage at 1 p.m. and put on an amazing show as always.

They had a great turn out.

The next time you’re in the Brinston-area be sure to check out the brand new play structure. There are still more exciting changes to come!
