$5,000 from Casselman branch

AVONMORE — The Roxborough Agricultural Society recently picked up a $5,000 contribution from Scotiabank’s Casselman branch. The big cheque represented Matching Funds from ticket sales at the 25th Avonmore Octoberfest — the Society’s popular early-fall fundraiser.

In addition to that Germanic event, the Society, of course, hosts the Avonmore Fair each July as well as its upcoming Christmas Craft Show and Sale — set for Dec. 3-4.
