South Stormont man charged after stolen motorcycles, pickup truck recovered

SOUTH STORMONT — A South Stormont man has been charged with possession of stolen property after police recovered two motorcycles, a generator and a utility trailer that disappeared day earlier from a residence in the township.

Police say the 2005 Harley Davidson and 2008 Triumph Rocket were aboard the trailer, along with the Wacker Neuson GP5600 generator, when the whole works was taken from a County Rd. 36 address sometime overnight on Nov. 20.

Larry Labelle, 41, was arrested when the detachment’s Community Street Crime unit executed a search warrant Nov. 21 at a Richmond Drive residence. The raid also turned up a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup previously stolen in Leeds County.

Labelle is charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and five counts of possession of property obtained by crime of over $5,000.

The accused was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on Jan. 16.                                                                                        

Another Triumph motorcycle stolen

SOUTH DUNDAS — A motorcycle was stolen out of a shed at a residential property on Augusta St., Morrisburg.

The SD&G OPP say the 2007 Triumph Bonneville T100 and tools were taken during a break-in occurring at night sometime between Nov. 16-20. The bike had Ontario licence plate 3H4D9.
