CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville & District Agricultural Society (CDAS) will toast the New Year in full formal style this year. The committee’s inaugural New Year’s Eve Gala will be held at the Chesterville Legion beginning at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 31.
In an effort to fundraise for the CDAS with grounds maintenance and general operations, the formal affair will be kicked-off with a reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by a roast beef dinner. Then dance the night away to the big band sound of the Great Music Guys, and ring in 2018 with a midnight toast.
“We are bringing a formal, classy New Year’s celebration to Chesterville that will attract the young and mature crowd alike,” said Ag Society President, Carol Johnson. “There is a lot of passion and excitement among the committee and we’re committed to getting all of the details right. We want to create a memorable evening for everyone who joins us.”
There are only 140 seats available for the gala, and they are expected to sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased for $75 at Scotiabank in Chesterville or by calling 613-720-0412.
Scotiabank is pleased to be a business sponsor of the event. They will generously match funds of tickets sold at their Main St. Chesterville location.
BGM RV Repair of Chesterville is also a major sponsor of the event.
