Fill curator position at Cornwall museum through open, competitive hiring process

The Editor:

With the pending retirement of the curator of the Cornwall Community Museum early next spring, a number of people are looking forward to the board of directors of the SD&G Historical Society/Museum advertising this position.

The Cornwall Community Museum is a valued public institution and is funded mostly by the City of Cornwall taxpayers.

The advertisement of the competition inviting all interested qualified persons to apply for the curator position in an open, fair process would ensure that the next curator will have the confidence of the community and will be the best qualified person.

There are several qualified persons in this area who would be very interested in guaranteeing that the past history of Cornwall & SD&G is preserved and available for all to enjoy.

Our Cornwall Community Museum is our past and our future.

Yours truly,

Brian Lynch,
