MORRISBURG — ‘Tis the season to give and Canadian Tire in Morrisburg has done just that.
Through staff fundraising and fund matching the store has collectively raised $5700.
The store and its staff held jean days, customer barbecues, a children’s Halloween party and collected donations to raise a total of $2700.
Store owners, Ken and Lori Turnball, donated items and raffled them off. The raffle pulled in an additional $500.
The Canadian Tire Corporation matched $2400, and Canadian Tire Jumpstart kicked in $600.
Donations totalled $5700.
The monies were divided between the following organizations:
- The Christmas Exchange — $2000
- Community Food Share — $2000
- Naomi’s House — $800
- Local Jumpstart Chapter — $900
