MORRISBURG — Santa Claus came to town. Morrisburg hosted its 24th annual Santa Claus Parade this past Saturday. Ahead of Santa came a chuckwagon, several bands, Thomas the Tank Engine, and donkeys. Canada Post representatives made their inaugural march this year, picking up letters to Santa written by children and seniors. Students of Morrisburg Public School pushed shopping carts around and collected food and money donations for the food bank during their trek around town. Afterwards parade-goers filled the town’s fire hall where hotdogs, chips, and hot chocolate were provided free of charge. Children also got their chance to sit on Santa’s knee and have their pictures taken with Father Christmas himself.
