Couple, 74 and 46, charged with striking each other with book, lamp

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A 74-year-old man and his 46-year-old wife were individually charged with assault with a weapon after hitting each other with objects three days after Christmas.

He used a book, and she used a lamp, according to the SD&G OPP.  Officers arrested the South Glengarry couple Dec. 28 after responding to their domestic altercation at 11:24 p.m.

They were released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on Feb. 6. Both names are being withheld to protect the identity of the victims, according to the local detachment.
